Quality fitted kitchens, bathrooms and carpentry. Designed, supplied and fitted to the highest standard.
JRA Kitchens is solely run by James R Abbott, who is a highly qualified furniture and cabinet maker. James went to High Wycombe University, where he studied and received a Higher National Diploma in furniture making. He went onto work in a furniture workshop where he built high quality furniture for the rich and famous.
James moved into building handmade bespoke kitchens where he realised kitchens were what he wanted to be involved with. In September 2008 plans were made to start using his talent and skill in producing high quality kitchen installations.
JRA Kitchens was established in January 2009. The kitchen is probably the most used room in your home. This means it needs to withstand a lot of use. A poorly fitted kitchen will not stand the test of time, and it will need replacing causing a lot of expense and hassle. James’s kitchens will be fitted to the highest standard meaning they will last years to come.
Now you have heard about James and what he does let’s take you through a typical job.
After contacting JRA Kitchens, James will come and measure your kitchen and show you a range of catalogues showing a large number of styles and designs for you to choose from. Once a style has been chosen, James will start drawing your kitchen using the latest computer software. A color 3 dimensional image of the design will be produced, giving you an idea of what the finished product will look like. James will change and adjust the design as many times as it takes before you are 100% happy with it. The worktop is a really important part of the kitchen as this tends to be where your eye catches first.
James can supply a large range of laminate worktops in gloss or matt form. Solid timber, granite and Quartz worktops can also be arranged. If you require new appliances for your kitchen, you can choose from large range from leading manufacturers. Once everything is decided the kitchen will be ordered and will be delivered 4-6 weeks later.
On the start of the installation James will remove your old kitchen and get the room prepared for the new one. Any plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling and decorating work will be done using James’s team, meaning you don’t have to worry about a thing. The whole job normally takes 2-3 weeks depending on the size of the kitchen.
If you require any additional work to the kitchen space, such as a new floor or interior carpentry, it can be arranged. In the last 5 years James has expanded the business by using his and his team’s skills, into producing high quality bathroom installations.
Using exactly the same procedure as the kitchen installations James has produced some stunning work. Due to James’s background, he also constructs bespoke furniture for customers who require it. Images of some of the work completed can be seen in the gallery page.
